Promises by DjWhite

What I saw
in your eyes

was the lilt
of a wordless

psalm,a silent
cantata

Mesmerized

I rocked

swayed

to rhythms,

of your whisper

and sultry promises
wafting along the heady
scent of old spice

and pipe-smoked
swirl of cherry civet.

Purring, I arced
for the moment

the moment.
